• Check vessel’s draft and take sounding of BWT, FWT and bunkers at initial and final (before and after loading or discharge) survey to establish load or discharge qty.

• Raised draft marks to be painted and conspicuous and sounding tanks are not choked.

• Avoid using rope, avoid slack tank.

• Use Boat to check draft facing sea bond.

• Use ZEAL hydrometer to test sea water density.

• Counter check ship’s constant.

• Ensure no movement of ship’s crane/derrick or cargo at time of survey.
